WLVN 1940s Radio Introduction
WLVN 1940s Radio started with an idea of making a 1940s station that is as realistic as possible. We not only play music, but also radio shows the same day they aired back in the 40s. This concept started when a friend of mine said he wished there was a 1940s radio station that played scheduled radio shows like back in the day, so you would know when your favorite show would be airing such as Jack Benny, The lone Ranger or Fibber McGee and Molly. That is when the idea began to grow in my head. WLVN Radio is the product of close to 2 years of collecting and cataloging over 20,000 files of music and radio shows during the war years (1940-1945). We are currently in the year 1943. Now sit back in your favorite chair, tune into WLVN Radio and transport back to the 1940s.
